THE new Inishowen Football League kicks off on Friday night with a full programme of games in the Clubman Shirts League Cup.
A gripping season last year saw one of the most memorable campaigns capped off with the Inishowen League winning the Oscar Trayner Cup as Stephen McLaughlin and Kieran McDaid netted in a 2-1 win over Limerick and District.
What made it all the sweeter was the fact that the game was played at Maginn Park, Buncrana.
Last year’s Jackie Crossan Premier Division went all the way to a play-off when Patrick McDermott netted the winner as Glengad United overcame Aileach FC.
The League suffered a blow last week when Killea FC confirmed their withdrawal.
This week, Donegal Sport Hub caught up with the League executive and Inishowen League secretary Diarmuid O’Brien spoke with Charlie Collins.
