GARETH HARKIN was delighted to be back among the goals as Finn Harps secured a play-off spot on Friday night.
Harkin netted the second goal in a 3-0 win over UCD that also ensures Harps will have leg two of the play-off semi-final at Finn Park.
“We just wanted to sew up the second spot,” Harkin (pictured above in action against Shelbourne) told Donegal Sport Hub.
“Having the second leg at home is massive. This is only the first part of it. We know the pay-offs will be a different kettle of fish and a really tough affair.”
Harkin’s goal was his third of the season and his first since his strike against Longford Town in the FAI Cup in May.
Harkin said: “It was great to score. I just took the chance. Me, Raymond (Foy) and Tony (McNamee) are comfortable just rotating about and we need to be scoring from midfield.”
