DRUMKEEN UNITED found themselves in new surroundings this afternoon when they featured in the Donegal League having opted out of the Ulster Senior League.
In an entertaining contest at St Patrick’s Park, they lost 5-4 to Glencar Celtic in the Voodoo Venue Cup. After the match, Drumkeen’s joint-manager Myles Conway was still upbeat over what might lie in store for the club.
“We applied to the Donegal Saturday League in the hope we can build it up from the bottom,” he said. “Hopefully in the next three to five years we will find ourselves at the top again because that’s where we want to play.”
