A NEW ERA for secondary schools GAA came into being last night as the Donegal launch of the all-new Ulster Schools Competitions took place in Ballybofey.
Ulster Schools GAA is now running all competitions across the province.

The amalgamated Ulster Schools – comprising the former Ulster Colleges and Ulster Vocational Schools bodies – will have six different football grades, but have retained the top trophies in the form of the MacRory, MacLarnon, Markey and Arthurs Cups.
Here’s where Donegal schools are competing in the coming season, with no schools in the A competition.
[adrotate group=”37″]B – St Eunan’s College, Coláiste Inis Eoghain.
C – Coláiste na Carraige, St Columba’s Stranorlar, Coláiste Colmcille, St Columba’s Glenties, Rosses Community School, Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair, PCC Falcarragh, St Catherine’s Vocational School, Carndonagh Community School. Donegal will be divided north and south for the C competition.
E – Coláiste Ailigh, Mulroy College, Finn Valley College, Magh Ene, Gairmscoil Chú Uladh.
F – Moville Community School, Crana College, Deele College, Scoil Mhuire.
Last night at the launch at Sean MacCumhaill Park, Charlie Collins spoke to Ann McHugh who is the CEO of the Donegal Education and Training Board; Donegal County Board Chairman Sean Dunnion; and Michael Murphy of Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure, who are set to sponsor the competitions in Donegal.
