GARVAHEY WAS A windy spot yesterday but it didn’t blow the hopes of St Eunan’s in the Danske Bank Treanor Cup (Ulster Colleges U-15B½) off track.
The Letterkenny school got the better of St Ronan’s from Lurgan on a 3-10 to 0-3 scoreline and now look forward to a final next week.
[adrotate group=”37″]The side managed by Colm McFadden and Chris Carr (pictured above) kept the ball in hand in the first half against the wind and then pressed up on the the opposition kick-outs in the second half.
“It was tough in those conditions but the lads brought the right attitude,” McFadden said. “You still had to run a bit with the wind. [Paul] Durcan might’ve struggled against that wind!
[adrotate group=”46”]Carr added: “It’s just keeping it simple and the intensity was there in the tackle. We’ll stick to the same routine ahead of the final.”
