Audio: Brían O’Donnell on Naomh Muire’s launch of WAAR

THE WILD ATLANTIC ADVENTURE RACE is on it’s way back to the Rosses and Gweedore.

The event, known as WAAR, consists of a 7.5km run, a 42.5km cycle, a 2km hike, and a 1km kayak is a fundraiser for Naomh Muire GAA club, but also can be credited for increasing health and well-being in the area.

Last year was the event’s first staging and it’s back on May 14. Saturday saw the official launch of the 2016 event and Brían O’Donnell (pictured above with Gavin Ó Dónaill) spoke to Alan Foley.
