BRIAN MCGEEHIN HAILED the commitment of his St Eunan’s side after they overcame Sean MacCumhaills to win the Donegal Under-16 title.
They’d been behind since Luke Gavigan’s goal after 25 seconds, but goals in the final ten minutes by Oisin Purdy, Michael McGroary and Louis Hasson took the title to St Eunan’s.
“This team has really put it in,” said McGeehin, joint manager alongside Paul McGovern.
“This was our 65th outing of the year and our attendance rate was 80 per cent. That’s outstanding for a group of lads at school who are playing other sports.”
