BRIAN GAVIGAN’S very demeanour told the story of a man who was broken.
In the foyer of the impressive stand at Owenbeg, the Bundoran manager was in disbelief as Loughinisland’s players and supporters celebrated winning the Ulster Intermediate Championship.
Three goals in the final ten minutes gave Loughinisland the win, but for Gavigan and Bundoran it was very much a case of one that got away.

“We’re definitely disappointed,” Gavigan told Donegal Sport Hub.
“To get this far and lose the final…everyone out there knows that we were the better team, but goals win matches and they got the goals.
“We had a lot of possession. They were clinical as well. Our boys just weren’t clinical. We fought hard, we got all the dirty ball, but we just couldn’t put it away when we needed to.”
