AFTER TWICE LETTING BIG leads slip away in Championship football, Brendan Boyle was delighted to see Ardara close things out in the relegation play-off replay against Cloughaneely.
In the first game a fortnight ago, Cloughaneely let a nine-point lead erode away with Cloughaneely bagging a replay.
A late venue change meant that Ardara were headed for Rosses Park, where they allowed Dungloe to claw back a nine-point margin last month.
“Thankfully when we got the chance we kicked on today and got the win,” the former Donegal midfielder (pictured above with his son, Eoghan) told Donegal Sport Hub, after their win.
“At half-time, we werte two points up so we knew that we had to up it when we had the breeze in the second half.
“Cloughaneely had the heads up after coming from nine down the last day. We got the early goal and that was a great platform. We knew today that we could close it out.”
