FANAD UNITED opened their season with a 3-2 defeat on Tuesday evening against Bonagee United.
The youthful Triaghalough side played their part in an entertaining contest at Dry Arch Park in Arthur Lynch’s first game in charge. They now must avoid defeat against Cockhill Celtic to progress to the semi-finals.
“If you’re old enough you’re good enough so I wouldn’t worry about the age too much,” he said. “It’s only so long they learn from it. It’s up to these boys to step up.”
