ARDARA MANAGER ADRIAN BRENNAN was a content figure at St Mary’s Park in Convoy yesterday evening.
Brennan’s side were well beaten by Naomh Conaill in the Southern Regional Board Minor League final seven nights’ beforehand but turned it around last night to set up a County Minor League final against their neighbours next Wednesday.

That came courtesy of a 1-10 to 0-10 win over St Eunan’s, where Niall McCrossan planted over seven dead balls and Simon Breslin’s second half goal provided the foundation for victory.
[adrotate group=”56″]“We were disappointed last week as we didn’t show up on the day last week,” Brennan said of the loss to Naomh Conaill. “We’re delighted to get the performance and the result today – any day you beat St Eunan’s at any level it’s a good victory.”
Ardara kicked five wides before they got off the mark but once McCrossan found his range they clicked into gear.
“Niall settled down after the first one or two,” Brennan added of McCrossan. “I’m delighted for him. I thought he was excellent. It’s not always about the result, today was about the performance, the commitment and a bit of pride.
“We finished quite strong. We did well and controlled it fairly well. The goal gave us the belief to go on in the second half. We got that belief that we could win the game.”
