THE DONEGAL JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE have an Oscar Traynor Cup semi-final against the Clare Junior League on Sunday in Boora.
Gary Merritt from Milford United is part of Brian Dorrian’s Donegal squad who travel to Clare tomorrow and it’s an exciting time for junior football in the county with the Inishowen League – the reigning champions – welcoming the Leinster Senior League in the second semi-final on Saturday week.

“There’s a lot of good players in the Donegal League and you could see it with Inishowen too winning it,” Merritt said. “There’s a lot of talent footballers in Donegal and we have to be challenging. We were very unlucky against Inishowen both this year and last year.
“We’ve a good bunch of lads with no egos there. Everyone gets on well and I feel we’re getting stronger each time we play together.”
