FINN HARPS CONTINUED their fine form of late last night with a 1-0 win over Galway United.
Sean Houston scored the only goal at Finn Park and the three points mean that the side managed by Ollie Horgan have now won three on the bounce in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
[adrotate group=”38″]Harps had defeated Sligo Rovers 3-0 and Longford Town 2-0 in their previous two outings and look forward to a fixture against Bray Wanderers this coming weekend at the Carlisle Grounds.
“Sean is at the standard and has played at the standard,” Horgan said of his match-winner. “It’s not the fact we won the game but lads stepped up to the mark and played in different positions.
[adrotate group=”50”]“It’s easier at home but going to Bray next weekend there will be a lot more pressure. But they did a job to their credit. We weren’t great tonight but we got away with it tonight.
“It doesn’t matter where or when you get the points, so long as you have enough points at the start of November. There was a lot of character there tonight. That three points is good.”
Horgan spoke to Charlie Collins afterwards …
