THE Aodh Ruadh AGM will take place on Sunday 6th December at 3pm in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh.
Nomination and motion papers will be circulated by email shortly and can also be downloaded from aodhruadh.org. Anyone who requires nomination papers to be posted to them is asked to contact Emma Gaughan on 0863039610, to make arrangements.
The deadline for receipt of nominations is midnight Friday, 27th November. The deadline for receipt of motions is midnight, Monday, 16th November.
Football
Our season drew to a close on Sunday with a 2-6 to 0-5 defeat away to Letterkenny Gaels. Once again promotion eluded us and it is third tier football for a sixth season. Thanks to Packie McGrath, his back room team and everyone who lined out for Aodh Ruadh over the course of the season for their efforts this year. We have some pictures from the game up on aodhruadh.org.
The under 21 semi-final against Saint Eunan’s is currently pencilled in for Sunday, 15th November.
Indoor winter League
The first night of the under 12 Ballyshannon Shoe Company indoor winter league saw some excellent football and keenly contested games, with Sylvester in charge of proceedings on the pitch.
The Kestrels won all their games on the night, but the rest of the league is very evenly matched with three points, a win in other words, separating second and sixth in the table. With a few celebrity appearances expected from under 12s who were unable to make it last Friday it’s still very much all to play for this Friday on the final night of the league. We are playing from 6pm to 8pm with the second set of round robins. Final league placing will decide if teams will play-off for the cup, shield or plate titles. Where teams are level on points score difference will decide, or if that is equal, penalties. The round robins are followed the three final games. Medals and trophies presented afterwards with team managers to select their captains.

The last two Euroshot winners savoured their fruits of their labours over the past week.
The under 16s travelled out to the Breesy Centre where they enjoyed a bit of groundball before sitting down to a great feed sponsored by Kernan’s Spar. It was a great way to wrap up the year and thanks to David O’Donnell and all at Spar for their kind sponsorship. On Monday evening the under 12s travelled to Bundoran Cineplex to watch Spectre, an evening the team enjoyed immensely.

Hurling
Date for your diary. The pub quiz in Owen Roe’s on Thursday 19th November will be in support of the Aodh Ruadh hurlers.
Bingo
Last week’s €400 bingo jackpot was won by Anthony Mulhern of Donegal town. There was no winner of snowball prize, so it now stands at €350 on 49 numbers or less. Bingo returns to the Abbey Centre this Friday, starting at 9pm, with a great €1,900 prize fund. Books available priced at just €10.
Club kit for Christmas

Our navy blue soft shell jackets are also back on sale for Christmas order. We have three youth sizes available. Ages 7-8 priced €40; ages 9-10 priced €40; and ages 11-12 priced €45. All jackets will have the Aodh Ruadh and GAA crests, plus the child’s initials on the sleeve.
