FINN HARPS HAVE been dealt another big injury blow with the news that Tony McNamee faces six weeks out of action.
The Ramelton man injured medial knee ligaments during the week in training.
Although the exact extent of the damage has to be fully determined, Harps manager Ollie Horgan expects the play-maker to be absent for around six weeks.
“It doesn’t help us,” Horgan sighed.
“We’re disappointed to lose him. We’re disappointed to lose anyone.
“We need everyone. Please God they’ll be able to play a part because we will be right in the mix in terms of battling to stay in the division.”
Horgan is already without Ciaran Coll (shoulder) and Gareth Harkin (knee) on similar timescales.
The Harps manager said: “With Ciaran and Gareth out long-term, it gives us a bit of imbalance on the left side. We’re having to go with people in unfamiliar places.”
