Amber Barrett netted her second hat-trick in a row yesterday as Peamount United defeated Cork City 3-0 in the Women’s National League.
The Milford woman bagged a treble in Peamount’s 9-1 win at Limerick in their previous game and was in scintillating form yesterday at Greenogue.
Barrett took just ten minutes to open the scoring after latching onto Eleanor Ryan-Doyle’s through ball.
Barrett could have doubled the lead a minute later, but shot just over the top.
However, the Republic of Ireland international got her second on 41 minutes, getting enough on her effort to beat ‘keeper Eve Badana.
Four minutes from the end, Barrett drilled home from a penalty for her 13th League goal of the year.
