FINN HARPS were hit with another massive injury set-back last night.
Damien McNulty was forced off after just seven minutes following a clash with Wexford Youths’ Danny Ledwith at Finn Park.
Both players had to be withdrawn such was the force of their coming together.
McNulty has played all bar one of Harps’ League games this season, but the tenacious defender now faces the best part of the next two months out of action.
[adrotate group=”38″]“Damien has suffered a medial knee ligament injury,” sighed the Harps manager, Ollie Horgan.
“Damien was a big loss to us, especially in defending set pieces,” the Harps boss said.
[adrotate group=”50″]“I’m not saying that Wexford wouldn’t have scored had he been on the field.
“Now, we’ll have to deal without Damien for a period of time.
“It’s too early to call, but the medial knee ligament injuries usually have that time-frame on them.”
[adrotate group=”46″]Ciaran Coll reported no ill-effects on a shoulder complaint after playing 90 minutes while Tony McNamee is nearing a return again having been a substitute last night.
However, Josh Mailey missed out on inclusion in the match-night squad because of a hamstring injury.
