THE THREE Portsalon Golf Club teams still competing for silverware were all in action last week, with a mixed bag of results.
Paul Armstrong’s Over 50s hosted Letterkenny on Wednesday afternoon in the first leg of the Seniors Final.

On a blustery afternoon, it was the visiting side that made the best of the conditions as they grabbed a 3-2 lead to take home. Portsalon will face a tough challenge in the return game this Sunday in Letterkenny.
It was also the visitors from Barnhill who left happiest on Sunday evening after the first leg of the Donegal League decider. Cathal Canning’s home team were held to a 2.5 matches each scoreline in Portsalon, with Letterkenny four holes up and holding the advantage. The second leg takes place in Letterkenny this Saturday at midday.
Patrick Kelly’s Minor League team will also do battle with Letterkenny for the silverware this season after they overhauled a first leg deficit in defeating Buncrana 5-0 on Sunday in their semi-final second leg in Portsalon.
Dates and times for the Minor League final are still to be confirmed.
