THE SEVERE WEATHER has forced a blanket postponement of the entire set of fixtures that were scheduled for tomorrow.
Gary Foy, the Donegal League PRO, tonight confirmed that no games will take place in the light of the deteriorating weather conditions, which have been christened ‘Storm Desmond’.
He said: “Owing to the worsening weather conditions and the Red Alert Storm Warning which is in place in the north-west the Donegal Junior League have decided to call off all Saturday League matches scheduled for tomorrow. Enjoy an early Christmas shopping opportunity.”
The Letterkenny / North West Committee have made a decision regarding schoolboy football and opted for postponements, as have their counterparts in East Donegal.
Swilly Rovers’ FAI Umbro Under-17 tie against Riverstown FC is also off, as is the entire Donegal Youth League series of fixtures.
