Sam and her partner Steve McPherson (pictured above with with Letterkenny Rugby Club chairman Denis Faulkner) had travelled from New Zealand to England to see the All Blacks play Georgia on Friday and then flew to Ireland on Sunday and made a planned visit to the club to watch the game on Sunday.
The couple will be spending a few days discovering Dave Gallaher’s birthplace and the county before heading to Scotland to pick up Steve’s Falkirk roots. The club were delighted to meet Sam and Steve and to pass on connections between Letterkenny RFC and New Zealand.
