AARON MCGLYNN POSTED a new PB over 800m at the GloHealth Indoor Games on Saturday.
The 16-year-old from Finn Valley AC ran 1:54.13, which was an improvement on his strong performances from 2015 of 1:54.82 at the Mary Peters track in Belfast and 1:54.79 in Watford.
Those performances saw McGlynn compete and reach the European Youth Olympic Games final in Tbilisi. This year, the Finn Valley AC has targeted a qualification standard for the European Youth Championships, which are again back in Tbilisi in 2016 – the qualification mark required is 1:53.50.
