Bonagee United bowed out of the WFAI Shield after a narrow defeat to Castlebar Town.

Chloe Morley’s header, 13 minutes into the second half, proved the difference in a tight game.
Morley rose in the penalty area to head home from a corner.
Momentarily, Bonagee lost their concentration and Morley made them pay a dear price.
Bonagee had some good passages of play but didn’t trouble the Castlebar ‘keeper over the 90 minutes.
Late in the opening half, Chantelle Grant fired over from a free kick, while Alice Diver had earlier shot off target after a quick fire Bonagee attack.
Natalie McFadden headed wide as Bonagee looked to take the game to their hosts.
In a game of inches, Morley’s header gave Castlebar a big lift.
Castlebar had a huge chance after just nine minutes but, when the ball appeared to cross the line, referee Alan English waved play on and Bonagee were saved by a brilliant double-save from the in-form Clare Friel.
Anna Doherty shot wide as Bonagee sought a means of getting back in the tie, while Grant rose another effort over the top.
Bonagee, on the back of fine away wins at Illies and Lagan in recent weeks, laid siege in the closing exchanges.
Niamh McGlinchey and Deborah Kerrigan injected some new life into their attack.
In added time, Bonagee went on a frenetic search for an equaliser. Siobhan Sweeney eyed up the bullseye, but a defender got in a timely block while Doherty saw another attempt charged down.
