Bonagee United moved into the quarter-finals of the WFAI Intermediate Shield at the weekend and Illies Celtic had the edge on Lagan in an all-Donegal tie in the WFAI Intermediate Cup.

Anna Doherty was the two-goal hero for Bonagee United ladies (above) on Sunday as Louise Gordon’s team reached the next round of the WFAI Intermediate Shield.
Semi-finalists last season, Bonagee are on a national mission again and had to come from behind here to claim the win.
In Gortscully on Sunday, Bonagee went a goal down, but midfielder Doherty struck gold for the Dry Arch side.
Doherty drilled in from the edge of the box to the bottom corner and fired in another from closer-range as Bonagee march on.

Paula McGrory netted a hat-trick as Illies Celtic soared past Lagan Harps to reach the next round of the WFAI Intermediate Cup on Saturday evening.
McGrory continued her excellent scoring form with a trio of strikes and Danielle Doherty was on the scoresheet as John Doherty’s side took a fine win.
Zoe Green netted for Lagan Harps, but the Inishowen side – who are top of the North-West Women’s Super League – made no mistake.
