THE DONEGAL League rounded off their Oscar Traynor Trophy campaign with a fine away win at Sligo-Leitrim last night.

After defeats to Monaghan-Cavan and Inishowen, Brian Dorrian’s team had no chance of making it through to the knockout phase of a competition in which they were semi-finalists last season.
However, a much-changed side showed good promise last night in what was an impressive win by the Donegal side.
[adrotate group=”46″]Kildrum Tigers pair Damian Crossan and Jamie McKinney were on the mark with Chris Malseed of Drumoghill and Donegal Town’s Eoin Slevin scoring.
They hit the front after 17 minutes when Crossan riffled home with a volley from a corner.
On the half-hour, they doubled the lead as Malseed deflected a Mark Hunter free past the Sligo-Leitrim goalkeeper.
[adrotate group=”53″]17 minutes from the end, Donegal added a third as substitute McKinney slotted home to the top corner from the edge of the box after Jay Dee Alawiye was denied.
McKinney turned provider for Donegal’s fourth as he teed up Slevin to seal a big win.
