Royal and Prior, Raphoe 1st XI coach Paul Stewart admitted his heart was in his mouth this afternoon as his side reached the McCullough Cup final.
A 3-1 win over Lisburn’s Wallace High School at Raphoe this afternoon sealed the passage and now a final lies ahead this coming Wednesday against Banbridge.

Ben Wallace and Luke Witherow scored early goals to set the tone for Raphoe, only for Wallace High School to pull one back through Jacob Herman on 50 minutes.
[adrotate group=”89″]“We were up against a very good team – one of the best teams in Ulster – and we knew we had to get goals and we had to get them early, ” Stewart added. “My heart was in my mouth. At a 2-1 game there was nothing in it.”
However, Ben Wallace’s second goal of the afternoon sealed the victory for Raphoe.
Stewart added: “The boys know what they are doing. There’s leaders on the pitch and that makes it easier for me on the sideline.”
