A DONEGAL man has been appointed to sit on the Disputes Resolution Authority, the GAA’s ultimate arbitrator in disputes.
Gaoth Dobhair’s Aodh Máirtín Ó Fearraigh has accepted an invitation that was extended to him by the DRA Secretary, Professor Jack Anderson, on the suggestion of GAA Ard Stiúrthóir Páraic Duffy.

The DRA was first set up in 2005. The body is independent of the GAA and maintains a panel of Arbitrators from which it establishes Arbitration Tribunals to deal with disputes referred to it.

He was assistant seceretary for two years from 2008 and served for five years as Donegal County Secretary until 2014.
He was secretary for the reign of Jim McGuinness, during which Donegal won the All-Ireland in 2012, as well as scooping three Ulster titles and contesting the minor and senior All-Ireland finals in 2014.
Ó Fearraigh is currently the Chairman of the Gaoth Dobhair club.
