FINN HARPS have announced the signing of striker Danny Morrissey.
The signing of the 22-year-old, most recently with Cork City, will be considered a big coup by Harps manager Ollie Horgan.
The capture of Morrissey was announced on Harps’ website this evening.
Morrissey played only a couple of League games for Cork in 2016, but scored twice against Longford Town and once against Derry City.
Morrissey was an established player at Cork, but had his injury troubles and missed much of the season gone due to injury.
In 2015, Morrissey scored the goal in a 1-0 FAI Cup semi-final win over Bray Wanderers.
In 2013, Morrissey’s form prompted a number of trials in England, but injury curtailed those advances and he sat out a large swathe of the 2014 campaign.
Morrissey joins Ciaran Coll and Gareth Harkin on the books for the 2017 season. Harps also have Ryan McConnell – currently on loan at Ballinamallard United – signed up for another year.
