THE CURTAIN came down on the 2016 Donegal Women’s League on Saturday evening with the annual presentations.
Award winners from all groups, from under-12s right up to the seniors, were in attendance on a successful night to draw the season to a close.
There was a good spread of winners from the competing clubs across all the age groups while the successful representative teams and internationally-capped players were also honoured on the night.
Lagan Harps won the senior League in 2016 and Caroline Gallagher was awarded the Player of the Year gong with the prolific Amy Boyd collecting the top goalscorer award.
Lagan were the League winners at Under-12 level with Kilmacrennan topping the pile at Under-14 and Donegal town leading the way in the Under-16 grade.
