THERE WAS disappointment for the Irish Women’s Rugby side today as they went down 48-7 to Canada at the UCD Bowl.
Moville’s Katie Norris started today while Cappry woman Larissa Muldoon (pictured above) came on as a substitute at half-time.
Jackie Shiels, from Meath whose mother is from Donegal town, also came on as a replacement.
Canada ran in seven tries to put a much-changed Ireland team to the sword in a one-sided November Series clash.
Andrea Burk, one of Canada’s stars from last July’s Women’s Super Series title win, converted tries from DaLeaka Menin, Julianne Zussman and Karen Paquin and kicked a penalty for a 24-0 interval lead.
Zussman got over for another try in the second half and Laura Russell and Magali Harvey also got tries for the Canadians.
