IT’S AN ALL-DONEGAL contingent for the Ulster Schools squad for this weekend’s Under-15 Girls’ Interprovincial Tournament at the AUL Complex, Clonshaugh.
Hot on the heels of the Ulster Schoolboys, under Paul Browne’s management, winning their interprovincial series recently, it’s the turn of the Bridgeen Harley-managed girls this weekend.
Ulster have only won this tournament once in its history – back in 2010.
Harley, from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar is joined on the management team by Loreto, Letterkenny’s Emma Duffy and Karen Henry of Mulroy College, Milford.
The Interprovincial series is the first step in the process of selecting the FAI Schools U15 Girls’ International development squad for next year’s Bob Docherty Cup.
Title holders Leinster are aiming for a five-in-a-row success this weekend in Dublin.
Ulster report the return of five ‘notable; players from last season in the form of goalkeeper Neve Scanlon (Deele College), Eimear Sweeney (Mulroy College, Milford), and Moville trio Niamh McDonald, Megan Havlin and Kerry Ann Brown.
