KEVIN MCHUGH WASN’T the only Finn Harps veteran calling it a day in the League of Ireland last night.
While the night was all about McHugh’s farewell on a night when Harps celebrated Premier Division survival, midfielder Barry Molloy was also playing his final League of Ireland game.
[adrotate group=”38″]The Derry native was a surprise signing by Harps manager Ollie Horgan on the eve of the 2016 campaign. McHugh had played with Molloy previously while the pair were team-mates and was instrumental in his signing for Harps this season.
Molloy made his Harps debut on the opening night of the season in a 2-1 win over Derry, but an injury that night kept him sidelined until May. Since returning to the side, the experience of the Bishop Street man – who made 21 appearances – has been vital to Harps staying up.
