ULTRA DISTANCE runner and Finn Valley AC member Eddie Gallen finished 25th in the European 24 Hour Championship in Albi, France at the weekend with 225.564 km.
It was his ninth and best appearance for Ireland. The previous best was 223.898 km in Brive, France in 2010.

The Irish team finished ninth of 18 teams. The 24 hour World Championship will be in Belfast next year.
Eddie’s family connection is with Meenreagh, Ballybofey and is now based in Spain .
