EOGHAN MCGETTIGAN ADMITS he wondered what extra-time might bring moments before his Naomh Conaill side won the County Minor Championship yesterday.
The Glenties-based team and St Eunan’s were level on seven occasions in an entertaining contest at St Mary’s Park in Convoy before a 61st minute Keelan McGill goal sealed a 1-11 to 0-11 win for Naomh Conaill.
[adrotate group=”53″]“I looked up and saw it was level and wondered would I be fit for extra-time but thank God we made it in normal time,” said McGettigan, who scored five points. “I was just hoping the next whistle was going to be the final whistle.
“There’s never anything in it when we play St Eunan’s. It’s been the same the last six or seven years and it was the same today.”
