Kilmacrennan’s Richard Kerr wrapped up the Moto 3 Championship yesterday after a record breaking performance at the Sunflower Trophy Races.
Kerr starred in the races, held at Bishopscourt in County Down.
In front of a bumper home crowd the 16-year-old schoolboy put on a dominant display in the moto 3/125 class and blitzed the opposition and the lap record on his way to a brace of wins and clinching the Championship.
It was a a great end to year for the northwest racing team and now all have a much earned break after a tough season learning the KTM set up, a real high to end the season after a few podiums in motostar class at BSB for good measure.
