THE PERFORMANCE OF Theo Walcott for Arsenal in their 3-2 win over Swansea City was the main factors for this week’s leader in the Fantasy Premier League.
There were captaincy nightmares with Christian Benteke of Crystal Palace and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero missing penalties.
[adrotate group=”80″]The England international netted twice and the leader of the Donegal Sport Hub League, in association with Champions Travel, Deirdre Meehan, who manages ‘Humdingers’ had Walcott as captain. That made for a return of 26 points of a total of 58 on Gameweek 8.
Meehan has now got to 498 for the season, which is 17 in front of ‘The Macs’ – the team managed by Alan McGettigan. His star turn was Everton goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, who saved two penalties against Manchester City. Eighteen points also came courtesy of captaining Chelsea’s Diego Costa.
‘Doppelgänger FC’ – who are the side of Ryan Kettle – are third in the overall standings. José Holebas of Watford scored and kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Kettle’s weekly haul was 52, with the seasonal haul 473.
Mark McGowan’s Popcoppers are also on 473 after a 49 at the weekend and in fifth place, Aidan Gallagher’s ‘Dynamo Dylan’ hit 54to move onto 472.
