THE MILFORD manager, Danny O’Donnell, could feel the prize slipping away in the dramatic closing minutes at O’Donnell Park yesterday.
“It’s hard to know what to think,” O’Donnell told Donegal Sport Hub. “There was a kick of the ball in it. Relief is the over-riding emotion.

“It was an absolute massive battle of a match. There was no quarter given or asked.
[adrotate group=”53″]“We looked like we would come out the right side of it, but Burt came back as hard as they could and looked like they were going to snatch it.
“It’s not a nice place to be there on the sideline. That’s sport sometimes and a draw was the fairest result there.”
Burt asked serious questions of Milford, who struggled for long periods against the Inishowen men, but O’Donnell wasn’t surprised.
[adrotate group=”38″]He said: “Underdogs have massive motivation. We know who we are and what we are.
“We knew Burt would be a huge challenge. We never underestimated them. We got stuck in in the second-half, but we just didn’t kill the game.”
