Letterkenny Rovers advanced to a meeting with Carndonagh or Lagan Harps after an enthralling National Cup u12 win over Carrick Rovers in Co Monaghan.

Kian McGrath fired Rovers ahead after some neat play from Caolan Plumb and Sam Harvey before the Leckview men doubled the advantage before the break with a splendid 20 yard free kick from Rudy Minnock – son of former Finn Harps man Jonathan.
Carrick though exerted some pressure and got a goal back before Ciaran Kelly with a wonder goal made it 3-1 and looked to have ended the game as a contest before the Monaghan outfit scored with a minute to go to make it 3-2 and a nervy finish but any butterflies were cast aside when Christopher Diver wrapped up the win with a sublime finish to send the large travelling support into raptures.
