FINN HARPS’ latest return to the Four Lanterns Ulster Senior League will have to wait a little longer – after the postponement of this evening’s scheduled game against Derry City.
Harps Reserves were a late entrant to the ranks of the USL again this season and were set for their first game at Finn Park this evening.
However, a pitch inspection at the Ballybofey venue has deemed it to be unplayable.
Last night, refere Thomas Connolly postponed Harps’ Airtricity League Premier Division game against St Patrick’s Athletic just 40 minutes before the appointed kick-off time of 8pm.
Now, the USL meeting of Harps and Derry has been called off after a morning pitch inspection showed no improvement in the surface.
