CARNDONAGH’S Niamh McDaid is the winner of this week’s Anthony Conaghan Cars Player of the Week after her heroics in last Sunday’s Intermediate final.
McDaid scored eight points, including a last-gasp match winner as Carndonagh defeated Buncrana 0-14 to 2-7 in the final at Ture.
McDaid, pictured above at Carndonagh’s dinner dance last year with Ardal McDermott, polled 38 per cent of this week’s 693 votes and is the Anthony Conaghan Cars Player of the Week.
McDaid received 263 votes, seeing her take the prize from Lee Henderson, the Sean MacCumhaills hurler.
The Carndonagh woman will receive a pair of Murphy’s Gloves.
