FAI CUP action takes centre stages this weekend on another busy weekend of sport in Donegal – and it’s those games that are the big feature of this week’s podcast.
Charlie Collins and Chris McNulty begin with a quick look at the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Under-21 Championship quarter-finals before moving to the packed soccer listings.
Top of the bill at local level is the FAI Intermediate Cup first round game between last season’s finalists, Letterkenny Rovers, and four-in-a-row Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic at Leckview Park on Sunday.
In the FAI Junior Cup first round, there are a host of tasty ties, including tomorrow’s game between Arranmore United and last season’s quarter-finalists Glengad United.
[adrotate group=”38″]“Why shouldn’t a Donegal team dream about a day out at The Aviva Stadium in the Intermediate or Junior Cups – Letterkenny showed last season that it is possible,” Chris says.
“In the past, teams have taken these games as days out, but hopefully some of the county’s top teams can make a mark at national level.”
We also take a look ahead to tonight’s big League of Ireland Premier Division clash between Finn Harps and Longford Town at Finn Park.
