ST MICHAEL’S Michael Langan was your choice for the Anthony Conaghan Cars Player of the Week.
The Dunfanaghy side emerged from Glenswilly with the points on Saturday night on a 2-12 to 2-8 scoreline to deepen the woes of Michael Canning’s team in the All-County Football League Division 1 last Saturday.

Langan scored six points on a night when he showed great maturity. Alongside the experience of Christy Toye, Colm McFadden, Martin McElhinney and Brian McLaughlin, it would be easy for younger players not to take on responsibility, but Langan did the opposite, taking the lead at times, especially with his deadball kicking.
Langan, who wins a pair of Murhy’s gloves, got 252 votes to top the poll, ahead of Milford’s Gary Merritt and Ciaran McGinley from Kilcar.
