ST JOHNSTON WON the North-West Under-11 Cup last night thanks to a wonderful performance by Scott Macbeth against Bonds Glen.
Macbeth (pictured above) was not out with 106 runs and claimed four wickets for the loss of just two runs with the ball.
Macbeth, son of St Johnston senior player Ian, has been in magnificent form this summer and last night at Strabane he starred when it counted to secure the silverware for the Mini Saints.
Macbeth blasted 20 fours to make the century as St Johnston ended their innings at 149-1.
In the semi-final win over Bready, Macbeth was in form, while he made another century in the quarter-final win over Eglinton, when he retired on 114.
Last night St Johnston, with Macbeth and Harry Pearson doing the damage with the ball, put Bonds Glen all out for 89 to take the prize.
