RONAN TOURISH was the match-winner as Castlefin Celtic advanced to the next round of the Brian McCormick Cup, Lifford Area Shield.

Tourish struck on 89 minutes to sink Raphoe, under the management of Frank McBrearty Junior for the first time in a competitive arena.
The local County Councillor has taken the reigns at Raphoe this year following the departure of Stephen Conaghan and is eyeing a promotion tilt as the club’s main aim.
[adrotate group=”38″]They were undone here when, eleven minutes from the end, Tourish unleashed a fine hit from 25 yards that flew past Raphoe goalkeeper Roy Duffy.
Castlefin had gone one up when JP Malley latched onto Barry Tourish’s cross from wide and he slotted into the bottom corner.
Raphoe had plenty of chances in the opening period and they closest they came was a header by David Craig that was just wide.
[adrotate group=”37″]Frankie McBrearty also drew a fine save from Castlefin goalkeeper Anthony Sweeney from a free kick.
Raphoe drew level on 71 minutes when Patrick Kelly headed home from a corner, but Tourish pounced eight minutes later to seal the win for Castlefin.
