REPUBLIC OF IRELAND Women’s National Team manager Sue Ronan has named Roma McLaughlin and Amber Barrett in her squad for their upcoming training camp in Wales.
The camp, which consists of 22 players, will include two challenge matches on Friday, 19th and Sunday, 21st August against Wales with the squad mainly consisting of home-based players.

McLaughlin (pictured above), from Greencastle, was part of the Ireland Women’s Under 17 squad for the 2015 UEFA European Championships in Iceland and all except five in the squad have played in the Continental Tyres Women’s National League.
Milford native Barrett (pictured above) is part of the Donegal ladies panel who won the Ulster SFC last year and the Lidl Ladies Division 2 this year. She played for the side managed by Michael Naughton on the All-Ireland quarter-final loss against Dublin on Saturday in Longford.

Like McLaughlin, Barrett plays for Peamount United FC and manager Ronan will prepare the squad for a meeting with Portugal at Tallaght Stadium in September.
