ONE OF DONEGAL’S All-Ireland winners from 1992 showed that they haven’t lost the edge last night with a goal in the Donegal League’s Brian McCormick Cup.
Manus Boyle scored nine points for Donegal in their 1992 All-Ireland final win over Dublin – and the Killybegs man has retained his prolific edge.
Last night, Boyle rolled back the years with a second-half goal for Donegal League side Dunkineely Celtic.
At Emerald Park, the 49-year-old played in the Brian McCormick Cup against the Killybegs side, St Catherine’s – and scored.

He won five Donegal senior championships with Killybegs and only stopped playing Gaelic football at the end of last season.
Paul Murrin is the manager of Dunkineely and is a good friend of Boyle, who he has signed at the start of the last couple of seasons. Boyle’s appearances for the Darney Park club have been limited in that time.

McFadden put St Catherine’s 2-0 up following an early own goal. Martin Cunningham scored Dunkineely’s first after David Conwell put St Catherine’s 3-1 up.
Conor O’Rourke had St Catherine’s 4-1 up before Boyle, who was sent on as a substitute, converted from the spot.
