JAMES KELLY was at it again in Swansea this afternoon.
The St Johnston man and Finn Valley AC won the gold medal in the shot putt at the Celtic Games International in Wales.
Kelly threw out to 16.82 metres to take the top prize.
Kelly has been in majestic form lately, winning a Tailteann Games goldd medal and then, last month, winning a Schools International in Kent, setting a new personal best there at 17.07 metres.
And there was further joy as Danny Browne of Finn Valley set the Irish team on their way to glory in the 4x100m. A blistering first leg by Browne was key as the Irish lads claimed the gold.
Browne was third in the 100m while Lifford-Strabane AC’s Brendan O’Donnell celebrates his 17th birthday in style – by winning the hammer throw.
