The 97th Leitrim Cup sponsored by The Pavilion Golf Shop took place over the Old Tom Morris over the bank holiday weekend.
The Saturday qualifiers were as follows:
1st Raymond Doody (14) with 65 nett
2nd Brian McCloskey (15) with 67 nett – Elm Park
Gross Mick Gallagher Jnr (7) with 75 gross
3rd Kevin McCrystal (13) with 68 nett.

Links, after 9 holes there was just one hole between the pair with Kevin 1 up, he then rallied in the
Valley winning holes 10,11 & 13 to go four up with five to play.

The Par 3 14th was halved in Pars, Kevin then won the 15th for a 5&4 victory. Congratulations to both players for playing the final in such great spirit and thank you to all the members that followed the match all afternoon.

Team Golf
Good luck to the Donegal League team who host Letterkenny at home this coming Thursday the 4th at 4.00pm. The first leg ended 2.5-2.5 (level on holes). Home support on the night is welcomed.
Best wishes to our Ulster Cup team who travel to Letterkenny this Sunday the 6th for the Ulster quarter final return leg. The first leg finished 4-3 to Rosapenna.
Commiserations to the Rosapenna Mixed Foursomes team captained by Terri McBride & Peter Smyth who were beaten by Mahee Island G.C in the Ulster semi final at Dungannon G.C last Saturday. Many thanks to the two captains for their time & effort and to all the players for their commitment all season long.

The 2016 Michael Bonner singles matchplay draw has been made and is posted on the members notice board in the front foyer of the Golf Pavilion. Both players are encouraged to make contact as soon as possible to arrange each match.
The deadlines for the various matchplay competitions are as follows – Current round of the Gents Doubles – Friday August 19th; 2nd round of the Michael Bonner singles – Monday August 15th
