LAGAN HARPS and Bonagee United will contest this year’s Glencar Inn Cup final.
The Donegal Women’s League’s two leading sides will meet in the final which has been pencilled in for Sunday, August 28.
Lagan are the defending League and Cup winners.
Last year, they defeated Glenree United 8-4 in the final on a night when Caroline Gallagher and Nakita Burke both netted hat-tricks for Brid McGinty’s team.
[adrotate group=”37″]Lagan are currently the League leaders, but Seamy McGinty’s Bonagee are doing their damnest to hold onto their coat-tails ahead of their meeting in the final game of the season and the Cup final will be another tasty affair between the two rivals, who obtained walkover semi-final wins.
[adrotate group=”38″]Bonagee enjoyed a 2-1 win over Finglas United on Sunday in the WFAI Intermediate Shield quarter-final and are awaiting the semi-final draw, which is expected to be conducted by WFAI officials before the end of this week.
August 28 will also see the playing of the Arena 7 Shield, with Glenree United and Finn Valley set to joust for that piece of silverware.
