DONEGAL UNDER-21 Hurling captain Del Laverty praised his side after their All-Ireland U21 ‘C’ final win over Fermanagh on Saturday.
Fermanagh shocked Donegal when they punished a spill by goalkeeper Laverty and Conor Goodwin netted.
Sam Doherty netted a brace of goals in the second half and Paul Nelson’s major sealed the win.
“It is great to get the second,” MacCumhaills man Laverty (above left) told Donegal Sport Hub.
“There was a big push this year again. Tom Hennessy’s training are brilliant – we knew where every puck out was going and we knew the game plan.”
Donegal now take on Kerry in the All-Ireland B competition.

“It’s something to look forward to. You can’t fear it. We’ve nothing to lose. It’s a step up and a good challenge.”
