MOVILLE HAD NINE points to spare at Robert Emmets in Castelfin last evening and confirmed their place in the quarter-finals of the Junior A Championship.
Robert Emmets 0-6 Moville 1-9
Christy Hegarty scored 1-4 and his first half goal was enough for the visitors to go in four points in front, albeit with the advantage of a strong won.
A win over Downings previously means that Moville can plan ahead, although they lost Eunan Hegarty to a red card in the closing stages in Castlefin. Robert Emmets’ Gary McNulty was also sent to the line as things spilled over.
Hegarty’s goal came on six minutes when his shot made it over the line having been blocked initially.

Despite McDermott’s absence, Moville got off to a dream start when they goaled in the sixth minute. Ciaran Diver also had a profitable evening with three points.
Robert Emmets would’ve hoped to make inroads at the start of the second half with the elements. However, they would manage just six points in all, two from play, with Johnny McLaughlin and John Hunter their scorers.
